This agricultural open-loop-biomass facility utilizes Albizia and Eucalyptus wood chips and other agricultural waste products to produce an estimated 7.2 MW gross (6.4 MW net) electrical output. The technology used to produce power is a multistage condensing steam turbine generator. Downstream the turbine, an air cooled condenser and condensate reheat system is installed.
A main energy plant building houses the grate, boiler, steam turbine and other auxiliary systems. Administrative offices, maintenance shop, storage, etc. are located in a separate building. The feedstock storage building stores approximately two days of wood chips under cover. Additional fuel storage facilities are located outdoor on site. A new 51 kV substation was constructed with a switchyard, 13.8 kV step-up transformer, and monitoring and protective relays.
