The work at the Burdett Pump Station included performing hot tap, stopple, and bypass of the existing mainline, install all block valves, check valves, basket strainers, skid-mounted pump units, a knockout vessel, a flare, and associated pipe fittings to connect the existing mainline to the new pump units. Work also included setting a power distribution center on concrete pier foundations and making all wire terminations between the power distribution center and field instruments and junction boxes. Also performed was the installation of a 300kVA transformer and making all wire terminations between the transformer and the power distribution center.
The existing mainline contains raw natural gas liquids pumped at approximately 180,000 barrels per day.
