Bodell Construction installed one Pall Flue Gas Filter and associated equipment in a new nine level fully grated structure located within the existing MSCC Unit. This structure consisted of a staircase and three cross-over walkways to the existing Reactor-regeneration structure.
Other major components in the structure are the Flue Gas Filter Air Accumulator, Flue Gas Filter Air Accumulator Electric Heater, Coalescer Filter, Recovered Catalyst Hopper and Vent Silencer. Major pipe routings include the 24” and 30” flue gas lines and the 32” refractory lined flue gas lines. Six diverter valves, dual butterfly valve assemblies, approximately 6’ long, was installed for isolation and bypass of either the Pall Flue Gas Filter or the existing Third Stage Separator to allow for online maintenance. In addition, the project also installed a 90” x 200’ Flue Gas Stack, resting on piling, with three levels of platforming and a pulsation dampener located near the top of the Stack, including retractable FAA lighting.
